I went along to Glad You Asked because I was invited to participate by a friend of mine. In the group, I met some new people and enjoyed discussing the topics proposed by the course. The topics covered questions that I felt were essential to my search for God. In our group, there was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere around each session. I learned things and discovered new perspectives that were accessible and made sense to me and the other group members. I enjoyed hearing different views from others and coming to conclusions together. After we finished a session, the message and conclusions were clear enough to remain in my memory and were relevant to my search for God.

Glad You Asked was the first context in which I’ve experienced a Christian community. I learned that God can be shared and mostly, that it is useful to share what you think about God—it might help others. The fact that I knew I had people to talk to about my spiritual needs and problems in general was essential to my experience.

As a result of the group, some basic Christian principles and questions were clarified for me. I really felt that I had gained a little more knowledge about God and Jesus and how this integrates in our lives. Knowing about God more and especially being more sure of what you know and believe does help spiritually; it gives a sort of foundation to build upon.

From the first to the last session, Glad You Asked was indeed one of the most important ‘ingredients’ in my spiritual growth.
