I decided to join a Glad You Asked group because a friend of mine had tried it and I became very curious. I've always had a longing to discuss the ‘great’ questions. Over the last few years, my analytical-philosophical direction had provided me few answers.
I had a pleasant and meaningful experience with the Glad You Asked group. Our group leader was cautious and open minded and added depth to the somewhat ‘leading’ film clips. Questions about and critique of Christianity and Christians were met in an impartial manner. This made me more responsive to various great messages.
The most beneficial thing to me about the course was a more reconciling attitude towards things that are not possible to change and a strengthened assurance and peace about the existence of meaning in life. And that it perhaps rests in the divine.
After the Glad You Asked group I've prayed to God many times, more often than before. It has helped, though if not concrete, it has given me inner peace.
